PrisonProject.net exists because too many people are harmed by a system that is difficult to navigate, opaque by design, and unforgiving to families without resources. We support incarcerated people and their families by making information usable, visible, and actionable.
We focus on wrongful convictions, excessive sentencing, post-conviction relief, and accountability when the system fails to follow its own rules. Families are often forced to learn the law, court procedures, and prison policies on the fly while under extreme stress. Most are left to rely on rumor, social media, or fragmented advice.
We built Prison Project to replace that chaos with structure, clarity, and shared knowledge.
This platform brings together:
- Families seeking answers and direction
- Incarcerated individuals with firsthand institutional knowledge
- Attorneys and advocates willing to engage with real cases
- Supporters who believe transparency and accountability matter
We document individual cases, explain legal processes in plain language, and preserve institutional knowledge that is usually lost or ignored.
We believe that information is power, and that silence and confusion are tools of injustice. Prison Project is independent. We are not a law firm, a political organization, or a social media campaign.
We do not promise outcomes. We provide tools, education, documentation, and connection so people can advocate effectively for themselves and others.
At its core, this project is about families refusing to disappear, refusing to stay quiet, and refusing to accept harm without scrutiny.
If you are here because someone you love is incarcerated, you are not alone.
If you are here because you believe the system must be accountable, you are in the right place.
