Prison Project Welcomes Felicia Acosta
Prison Project is proud to welcome Felicia Acosta of New Mexico as a community contributor and advocate.
Felicia is the founder of Friends of Felons, a grassroots social media community focused on supporting incarcerated individuals, returning citizens, and the families who stand beside them. Through her outreach and interviews, she has built connections with people whose experiences are often overlooked or misunderstood.
What makes Felicia's contribution valuable is not a degree or professional title. It is lived experience. She understands the challenges faced by people navigating incarceration, supervision, reentry, and rebuilding their lives after involvement with the criminal justice system.
Moving forward, Felicia will be helping Prison Project identify and share stories from New Mexico and beyond. These stories may include personal experiences, family perspectives, successes, failures, lessons learned, and the realities of life before, during, and after incarceration.
Our mission has always been to give a voice to people directly impacted by the system. Felicia's work reflects that same commitment.
Please join us in welcoming Felicia to the Prison Project community.
New Mexico now has a voice at PrisonProject.net.
