Prison Project Motion Vault

Welcome to the Prison Project Motion Vault

Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools an advocate can have.

The Prison Project Motion Vault is a growing collection of legal research, sample motions, court filings, important court decisions, practical guides, and plain-language explanations.

Some entries link to actual motions or court documents. Others explain legal procedures, legal principles, and ways to research and prepare a case.

This resource is designed for self-represented (pro se) litigants, jailhouse lawyers, students of law, incarcerated individuals, independent advocates, family members, and anyone working to understand the legal system for themselves or someone they love.

This section is under construction. We are continually reviewing, organizing, and expanding our collection to make legal information easier to find, understand, and use.

Educational Use: These materials are for legal education and research, not legal advice. Sample filings may need substantial changes and may not be appropriate under current law or the rules of your court. Always verify applicable laws, deadlines, and procedures.

Our mission is simple: Make legal knowledge accessible to the people who need it most.

Search motions, court opinions, legal forms and research by case or keyword. Try Brady, ineffective, habeas, or medical neglect
